PARADISE
EARTH (COLLECTION)
Genres: Sci-fi; Gay/Bisexual; Shapeshifters
Planet Earth is failing. Global warfare and asteroid
bombardment have left the planet devastated… perhaps beyond
repair. Now a small group of terra-formers have just seven years
to rebuild Earth’s ecosystems. Failure means exclusion from
the Federation; without the Federation’s assistance Earth
is condemned to death.
Adam, an Earth biologist, and Evan, a scientist
from the Mars Colony, find it impossible to resist the passion that
draws them together despite prejudices and mutual mistrust. When
a new asteroid strike leaves them stranded - with Earth’s
hope for the future resting on their shoulders - they find themselves
fighting for their lives and the life of an entire planet.
A science fiction thriller and a tender love story,
Paradise Earth is an epic story of apocalypse and rebirth.

5 Cups! “Are you into BDSM? Then this book is
for you. Everyone has had a crush in his or her life and just did
not get it. That made you want to hit them over the head to make
them understand how you felt. This book takes that fantasy to the
next level. It held me captive until the very end and was filled
with sexual tension. This book was hot—hot—hot!”~

NAUGHTY & SPICE
5 Stars! “Titania Ladley spins a naughty tale
of love and consequences. Stuart and Ginger cannot resist each other.
Stuart, however, has a problem he must solve before he can be with
Ginger… Stuart must arrest her for real because she broke
an old law. Can Stuart keep Ginger from going to jail again? To
find out how this problem is solved, read this book! It is great
fun.”~ Candy, eCataromance.com
“…absolutely loved it!!!” ~ Author
Madyson Hunter www.madysonhunter.com
4 Stars! “This is a hot one! You can’t
help but like Ginger, she’s spunky, sexy and a quick thinker.
Who could resist Officer Nixon, he’s so dominating but in
a good way, sexy strong and with a great body. The sex is hot, very
hot! I loved the scene where they had sex on the counter top. She
is covered in chocolate and he is determined to make sure that she
always remembers him, as he knew he could never let her go. Another
scene that was incredibly arousing was Ginger handcuffed in a jail
cell with her hands suspended above her head. WOW! This book has
it all, great sex, oral, anal play, toys, and love. I could go on
but you need to read this one for yourself. I recommend this story
for those who enjoy hot erotic romance.” ~ Annie Deb, Just
Erotic Romance Reviews
4 Stars! "Ms. Ladley has really worked character
introductions well into the plot so you neither feel betrayed that
you don’t know the characters nor is the flow of the story
disturbed. To top the steamy storyline off there is an equally interesting
supporting character, Aunt Bessie, whose antics really made me laugh.
She was so much fun. A bunch of great Christmas songs act as the
soundtrack for the book and propel the story forward. So get naughty!
Grab a copy of Wild Winter: Naughty & Spice, get a hold of your
partner and have your own sensual treats."
~ Mahaira Fatima, Just Erotic Romance Reviews
“…readers will find Ginger Blair and
Stuart Nixon have passion to burn. From a sheer heat factor, readers
will enjoy their interactions. They are both comfortable with their
sexuality and their passion for each other lets them embrace more
than the missionary position. I appreciate how Ms. Ladley’s
writing makes their involvement explosive and each action within
their couplings a natural extension of passion. They are a couple
meant to be.”

moving and unique vampire tale. When Aurora inadvertently awakens
two gorgeous vampires from a frozen sleep she finds herself joined

world and filled it with her enchanting vampires. Readers will love
their visit to Balitori Island, the paradise that these sexy vampires
call home.” ~Water Nymph, Literary Nymphs Reviews

REDNECKS ‘N ROCK CANDY
4 Stars! “The story is filled with humor...This
is also a passionate romance...If the humor and passion is not enough
well hang on there is some lifethreatening drama to stir things
up. Readers will be surprised by all that
happens. This is a creative fast paced story with a smooth flowing
storyline and an easily recognized plot. Readers will lose all sense
of time as they read this tale of a big city girl's adventures into
a small town where the local sheriff
is a vampire. So set some special time aside to enjoy yourself.
This is a story that will leave the reader smiling.” ~ Anita,
The
Romance Studio
4 ½ Stars! “What a fabulous story! Ms. Mays has definitely
hooked me with this tale of redneck and vampires. Mandi is such
a New Yorker and so snobby in some ways but she truly cares about
her friend Amber and is willing to make a sacrifice for her sake.
Her first encounter with Brad is laugh-out-loud funny followed by
sizzling heat and what a combination! As for Brad, you'll feel for
him as his world changes and as he tries to make sense of who and
what he now is. His meeting with Mandi and her effect on him is
just what he needs. You won't
believe what these two can do with rock candy! Enjoy their interactions,
the super hot sex and the hilarious secondary characters, I know
I did.” ~ Trang Black, eCataromance
“Off-the-wall character names, a cross-eyed cat, and a bull
with a mind of his own come together to create an enchanting and
hilarious tale in REDNECKS 'N' ROCK CANDY. It would be unfortunate
if you miss a chance to revel with Mandi and Brad in REDNECKS 'N'
ROCK CANDY. It's laugh out loud funny with enough sizzling love
scenes to fire the blood even more.” ~ Philippa Ann, RRTErotic

MYTHS
AND LEGENDS: OCELOT
4 out of 5! “Set amidst the glory of a tropical rain forest
Ocelot revisits the world of the Myth and Legend series in grand
and more modern style. Watching as Hans learns to cope with his
new reality is highly entertaining and may bring tears to your eyes
as he comes to the devastating realization that everything he knows
is gone and all that he believed and fought for is untrue. Riana’s
strength and ability to adjust to circumstances beyond her control
is amazing, her ability to love even when there is no guarantee
of love returned, is awe inspiring. Passionate scenes of domination
and uncontrollable lust mark Ocelot from the first page as another
steamy hot creation of Ms. Mays. With secondary characters just
begging for a story of their own I will be on eggshells awaiting
the release of the next book in the Myths and Legends series.”
~ Megan, Erotic-Escapades.com
4 Stars! “This is one hot book! From the moment
I began reading I knew this was a winner. The sex begins on page
3 and continues throughout the book. The main characters have more
than an attraction to each other; they have an instant bond. Raina
is strong and independent. Han’s has never met anyone like
her before and knows he’ll do anything to keep her. The sexual
tension between the two is strong and sensual. The storyline is
very interesting and kept me rushing to turn the page so that I
could see what would happen next. The sex is powerful, hot, bold
and animalistic. The scene in which Hans commands Raina to come
to him is incredible. This book ends with a promise of more erotic
things to come. I recommend this book to anyone that enjoys erotic
love stories about shapeshifters.” ~ Annie Deb, Just Erotic

SAPPHIRE’S
SEDUCTION
5 Blue Ribbons! “Ruby Storm has never failed to delight me
with each of the tales she writes. SAPPHIRE’S SEDUCTION is
no exception! With sun, sand, naked bodies, no kids, and no rules
an adults only resort sounds like the perfect opportunity to throw
away all your inhibitions. Readers will love experiencing the island
atmosphere through these fun characters and their gradual acceptance
that for one week only it’s perfectly acceptable to experience
any of the desires that they may have avoided because of societies
restrictions. I love the friendship between Dan, Melanie, Mike and
Corrie. There’s no doubt that their friendship takes on a
whole new level of trust after this trip. As always, wonderfully
done, Ms. Storm!” ~ Chrissy, Romance
Junkies
“Sapphire’s Seduction is a hot, hot, hot
story. Ms. Storm has produced a fantastic tale that pulls the reader
in and doesn’t let go. I fell in love with all four characters,
fascinated by the way they loved each other, both physically and
mentally. The friendship between the couples, and their approach
to the foursome, was very realistic and loving. Sapphire’s
Seduction seduced me from the first word. I highly recommend it
to teachers.”
~ Amelia, Joyfully Reviewed
5 Angels! “Sapphire’s Seduction was a
titillating tale of friends that are comfortable enough to push
boundaries together. The way that the story flowed was just flawless.
You could understand why each step was taken when it was. The playfulness
that Ms. Storm does so well is throughout Sapphire’s Seduction
and is perfect for the way these characters dealt with each other
both as couples and as friends. Not only is the playfulness rampant,
but the sensuality that twines through each of her books is an amazing
addition to a story that could have been awkwardand tawdry but was
instead a fantastically erotic treat.” ~ Serena, Fallen
Angel Reviews
WINTER’S
ROSE
“Ruby Storm’s WINTER’S ROSE is the
last book in the WINTER STUDS trilogy. Kody and Rose are highly
memorable characters full of passion which can be felt through the
pages. It’s thrilling to read about a love that withstands
years of separation, misunderstandings, and the various changes
each of the characters have endured. In classic Ms. Storm style
readers will be treated to scenes that will have you laughing out
loud one minute and sniffling the next and always leaves you feeling
good about the time you spend reading one of her tales.
The WINTER STUDS trilogy is Ruth D. Kerce, Diana Hunter and Ruby
Storm’s second collaborative effort together. Their first
book DIAMOND STUDS is available in both e-book and print format
and well worth reading as well. We can only hope to see more of
these intertwining stories from this awesome trio of authors in
the near future.” ~ Chrissy, Romance Junkies Reviews
DRAGCON’S
SNARE
“Ruby Storm has created a wild, exciting, romantic
tale with an erotic sex scene that will leave you breathless. The
actions of the two main characters were compelling and enjoyable,
providing me with vivid pictures of the scenes. The characters support
a well-conceived romantic plot, with realistic internal conflicts
to overcome. I felt the characters come to life as the story unfolded.
The story is short, but well paced. It kept my interest from start
to finish. This is a well-written arousing story that will have
you loving the characters and the results of their twenty-four hours
together. I recommend Dragon's Snare to readers that like a hot,
erotic, romantic love story with a well conceived plot.”~

THIEF
IN THE NIGHT
“Thief in the Night is an interesting tale of
love and how misunderstandings can change people’s lives.
Ms. Cooper-Posey did an excellent job of weaving a tale that kept
me on my toes and entertained me at the same time. Thief in the
Night is an excellent tale.” ~ Amelia,

3.5 Ribbons! “THIEF IN THE NIGHT is a quick,
fun romp of lost and found love. One of my favorite parts of the
book is watching Delly put up such a struggle when resisting Neil.
It makes for some hot scenes that could be a little too forceful
if not for the skillfulness of Ms. Cooper-Posey’s pen. With
twists and turns that I didn’t see coming, THIEF IN THE NIGHT
kept me turning the pages, eager to see what would happen next.
What a fun read! I’ll be sure to watch for more from this
author.” ~ Jolie, Romance
Junkies
La Petit Mort! “THIEF IN THE NIGHT by Tracy
Cooper-Posey is a tense, sexy tale of a cat burglar who doesn’t
really enjoy what she does, but due to a series of actions ten years
ago, is forced like a slave into stealing from others. Unbeknownst
to her, Neal is her latest target, but she’s interrupted when
he comes home unexpectedly. Delly loses the battle to escape and
finds herself tied up. Neal has her at his beck and call. And boy,
does he want her to submit! The sex is hot, but never feels forced.
The steamy chemistry between Delly and Neal quickly rises in the
first few pages of THEIF IN THE NIGHT. Their long night together
reveals many secrets and, at the end, a few twists. THIEF IN THE
NIGHT is a hot, sexy and satisfying story readers will enjoy. I
highly recommend you grab this one up.” ~ Holly Tibbs, RRTerotic.com
BLACK
HEART
“I found Black Heart by Tracy Cooper-Posey to be very intriguing.
I was completely drawn into this world of upheaval and suspense.
My heart ached for Minnie’s loss when no one would go and
save Duardo. Her love for him shown brightly through out this story.
Black Heart has some great twists and turns that will keep you turning
page after page. The secondary characters shine as well and make
for a full-bodied tale. If you love suspense and intrigue you should
not miss Black Heart.” ~ Klarissa, Joyfully

3. Presenting our featured authors for this
month
Treva
Hart is
presenting our featured authors this month
Hello,
everyone. I think introductions are always a good way to start.
We have two new to us Sirens here and one sort of new Siren
– Judy Mays, Tracy Cooper-Posey and Mary Winter. Please
tell us something about yourself.
Judy
Mays. I have a husband who supports my writing
100%. I have three sons who aren't crazy about the
subject matter because their friends have found out. But since
my royalties are their college fund, they
don't really complain. We've got a big dog and a small cat.
Naturally, the cat bosses the dog around.
I teach school - English to tenth graders - for my day job which
definitely cuts into my writing time.
Tracy
Cooper-Posey:
Today, my publisher confessed that she thought I was Canadian.
"No, it's worse," I told her. "I'm Australian."
But the conversation reminded me that people reading emails
and written conversations on websites don't get to hear my accent,
and after ten years in Canada, writing for the North American
markets, my word use is identical to the average North American.
But I was born in West Australia and grew up in a wheat-silo
town that had seven houses and five kids -- two of them in my
household. I also grew up without television, and even today
I don't watch it. But I love the movies.
Mary
Winter: Well I'm a reformed small town Iowa
girl. I grew up in Iowa, near Iowa City (Go Hawkeyes!) and have
lived in IA all my life. I own 5 acres of land in
southern Missouri, which is my motivation to try and write full-time.
I've been writing since high school and published since December
2002 when Ellora's Cave accepted Ghost Touch, a paranormal erotic
romance. Since then I've written numerous stories (quickie to
novel length), and have 21 works published, with more under
contract.
Did you make
a New Year’s resolution? Have you kept it so far?
Judy:
I
promised myself to drop by a couple
chat lists more this year. So far so good. Oh, I
always make a resolution to lose weight. We'll see
about that one.
Tracy:
I made several resolutions, one for each area of my life. I
had to do it that way, as I fully intend to keep my resolutions
this year, and my life would have become unbalanced if I didn't
pick multiple goals. The major goal that started it all was
simply to write more books. Well, it's a bit more specific than
that on paper, but that's the core of it. So far, I'm living
up to the promise.
Mary:
My
New Year's resolutions are a continuation of last year's efforts.
I resolved to continue my Weight Watchers to make it to goal
(I'm hoping by October 2007) and to continue working on writing
and career things to move into my dream of writing full time.
And yes, I'm proud to say I'm well on track.
Tell us about your latest or upcoming story.
Judy:
Fires
of Solstice at EC. A wolfie that's not related to my "Heat"
series. It's about Bleddyn Glyndwr (Blethin
Glindoor) a werewolf who's been trying to find the only woman
who can cure the bloodlust in his soul.
It's just that everytime he finds her, something pulls them
apart. When he finally meets Meredythe in this
century, she's not the meek, docile woman he expected. Oh, there's
a werebear after her too who thinks all
of her blood will make him truely imortal.
Tracy:
I actually had a double-whammy, with two titles coming out very
close to each other. The newest (by two whole weeks) is Thief
in the Night -- an Ellora's Cave Quickie. It's a romantic suspense
about the last night in the life of Delly, a talented cat thief.
Funny story: It's a romantic suspense -- a thriller -- and all
my reviews are raving about the twists and turns in the story,
but it was rated as a Bondage story by Ellora's Cave because…well,
there is the odd pair of handcuffs or two that see good use.
The other story is Black Heart, the sequel to Red Leopard, both
also Ellora's Cave titles. Fans have been begging for the sequel
ever since Red Leopard came out. Truth is, I wanted to write
the sequel long before now, but I couldn't think of a way to
write it that would give the fans what they wanted, but not
in the way they expected. I didn't want to let the fans down,
after all. But I hate being predictable. I think I suceeded,
if my reviews are a good measure. They're all five stars.
Mary:
My most recent story, Elemental Elves 1: Horse
Play was just released from Changeling Press. In it, an exuberant
fun loving elf must teach a hard working girl how to have fun.
But, when his exuberance causes her to break her arm (in his
other form he's a horse) and lose her opportunity to win money
to expand her therapeutic riding farm, he needs to make amends
and she needs to learn that it's okay to have fun, and he's
going to start in the bedroom.
What is your
biggest stumbling block to getting a story published?
Judy:
It HAD been finding a publisher. Now, between
EC and Changeling, I don't worry about it.
Tracy:
Me! I'm actually a prolific writer if you go by word count per
hour. But the number of hours I have to write in a day are so
small that my overall output is woeful. Hence my new year's
resolution. I once heard another author say that he writes "in
the cracks and margins of the day," and the phrase has
stuck with me ever since. This year, I'm going to try writing
in whatever cracks and margins I can find. A lot of that means
writing on the fly -- while waiting in lines, waiting for my
kids (I have three teenagers at home, and a fourth in Beijing,
China -- there's a lot of waiting involved, keeping them coordinated).
I'll be taking advantage of my lunch breaks, and on weekends
I will not be sleeping in at all. I'll get up at the same time,
and settle into the manuscript as soon as the coffee has brewed.
Luckily, I got an upgraded Palm Pilot for Christmas, so I can
always have my latest manuscript with me. I don't think I'm
going to get sheets and sheets written while in the queue at
Safeway. But by always working on getting the next sentence
down, I will be keeping the story fresh in my mind, so when
I do finally sit down for the next chunk of writing time, I
can get straight into it.
Mary:
Oh probably myself. I have to look at it and tweak it, and then
make sure it's just right, but of course I'm sure it isn't.
:) Mostly battling my own inner editor.
What would
you do differently in your writing career if you could?
Judy:
I'd submit my aliens to New York publishers.
Tracy:
I
do sometimes wish I had been able to follow the advice to "write
what you read", when it comes to chosing a genre. My only
problem is that I read everything! So I've wasted a lot of time
bouncing from category to category and even genre to genre,
trying to find out where I fit. For a good many years, I wrote
what appealed to me; mysteries, historicals, contemporary romances…
you name it, I tried it. Unfortunately, whatever I tried, I
managed to get published as well. So I confused a lot of readers
out there.
It's only been the last year or so I've been able to narrow
it down, so I've basically wasted a decade or more of publishing
time, when I might have been turning out increasing better-crafted
books and building a solid, dedicated readership. But that's
really a negative, hindsight-only way of looking at it. I have
had a blast these last few years, getting to write popular fiction
(whatever the flavour) and hearing back from readers that they
liked it. What could be better?
Mary:
I think I would have believed in myself more. Back when
paranormal romances
weren't popular I did a lot of genre hopping. I think I would
have focused
more on the stories I wanted to tell and ignored everyone who
told me I
couldn't.
What are
you happiest about with your writing?
Judy:
People
like my stories.
Tracy:
I'm
technically a very strong writer, which means I don't have to
lean too hard on my editors for manuscript preparation. It also
means that I can build a strong story from the ground up, instead
of having to re-brick or pull down drywall once the roof is
on. That also means that once my stories are finally written
(an ice age after they've been started, it feels like), then
the editing process goes very quickly.
I've been told that I'm a story-oriented writer, that there's
always a great plot with lots of twists and turns, and suspense,
that keeps the pages turning. But because of the page turning,
most people don't notice that my characters are just as strong
as the story. They have to be, or the story wouldn't have as
great an effect on the reader. You can blow up an airplane and
the reader goes "okay, cool special effects," but
if you put a character on that plane that you've made the reader
fall in love with, and then show the plane blowing up, the very
last thing the reader is going to notice is the special effects.
She's going to be flipping pages as fast as she can, terrified
that her favourite character just got killed.
So I guess my answer is I'm happiest about the fact that, based
on my fanmail and reviews, I can tell a damned good story that
readers can't put down.
Mary:
I love the freedom. If I get an idea, no matter how crazy (like
an elf
turning into a horse) I know I can probably find a home for
it and sell it.
What tidbits would you like to tell readers that you
haven't done yet here?
Judy:
That I ride my bicycle naked through town? LOL No, they'd throw
me in jail for that. <G> Gee, I don't know. There really
isn't
anything special about me.
Tracy:
Most
people don't drill down through enough of the many, many pages
of my website to find out that I'm the inaugural winner of the
Emma Darcy Award for Romance Writers. Last year, the Award was
retired, which means that there will only ever be ten winners.
I'm kinda proud of that one. Trivial, but unique.
Also, my husband Mark and I met on the Internet, just over ten
years ago. That's why I'm an Australian in Canada with a hybrid
accent. This February 22nd, it will be my birthday, his birthday,
and our 10th wedding anniversary. Many readers have already
met Mark as he regularly attends Romantic Times conventions,
and Kathryn Falk snagged him for the Cover Model pageant in
St. Louis two years ago. We're really looking forward to Houston
in April.
Mary:
I'm pretty much an open book. I do have two Tarot novels contracted
as part of Ellora's Cave Torrid Tarot series.

Chicken Salad like Mary’s Mom Makes
By Mary Winter
My mother
usually makes this chicken salad when she comes up and visits.
It makes the perfect thing to put in the fridge and then snack
on for lunches or as the mood strikes.
Ingredients:
2-4 cups of canned or cooked chicken chopped.
Celery 1/2 c.
diced, onion to taste,
1-2 cups of dried cranberries or any dried fruit you prefer. Cherries
work well.
Miracle whip or real mayo to the moistness you like.
1-2 cups of sliced flavored almonds or any nut you prefer (almonds
work well).
Note:
If you’re going to refrigerate for several days or even
overnight don't add too much dressing as the salad will get watery.
Mix all
the ingredients and then refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving.

ESSENCE
OF EMERALD
By Ruby Storm
Releasing February 7,
2007 at Ellora’s Cave Publishing
http://www.rubystorm.net
BLURB:
Emerald
Tucci is engaged to one sexy man. Mark Vistar embodies every woman’s
dream. Tall, muscular, and handsome enough to send shivers down
any woman’s spine. But still, Emmi can’t confirm a
wedding date and the reason is Jay, Mark’s best friend.
She doesn’t love Jay, yet the man’s sensual magnetism
has her enduring sleepless nights and rampant sexual emotions…and
wondering what it would be like to have two men make love to her
at the same time.
To squash
her wandering thoughts of a fantasy come true, she speaks honestly
with Mark in hopes that by coming clean, her strange desires will
be put to rest. Emmi even admits that her candor could possibly
mean the end of her engagement.
She never
counted on Mark and his devotion to her, or the fact that he loves
her enough to make her fantasy come true.
EXCERPT:
Emmi
wiggled on her chair and struggled to appear relaxed and sated
from her meal, but she’d hardly touched it. Mark on the
other hand had eaten with gusto, laughing and joking throughout
supper.
Jay wiped his mouth with a napkin, sat back and darted his dark
eyes from one to the other. “Okay, I have to ask. What’s
going on?”
“Are we that transparent?” Mark asked.
Emmi could have kicked him.
“Well, hell yeah. You’ve talked so much tonight that
I’m surprised you managed to finish your meal.” His
gaze turned to Emmi then. “In contrast, Emmi, you’ve
hardly said a word. You’re wiggling and squirming like you’re
in the hot seat or something. What’s up? Things don’t
seem quite what they should be. Can’t put my finger on it,
but you two definitely have me wondering.” Suddenly, he
sat forward. “Oh, wait one minute. Have you two finally
set a date for the wedding? Is that what this is about?”
Mark found Emmi’s hand, surprised that it felt clammy to
the touch. He gave it a squeeze for encouragement, winked at her
and turned to face Jay. “Well, in a roundabout way. We were
discussing it last week, but something else came up. Something
we both wanted to speak to you about.”
Jay leaned back and crossed his arms over his chest. “Now
my interest is really piqued. Come on, Mark, out with it. The
suspense is killing me.”
Mark took a deep breath. “All right. Emmi and I were talking
about the possibility of simply eloping—well, I was talking
about it. Then she told me something that surprised the hell out
of me.”
“Mark?” Emmi stated quietly. She met his understanding
eyes. “Let me.”
He nodded his consent.
Emmi took a moment, then finally began. “I want to say something
first, Jay. And I’m speaking from my heart. I love Mark
with all my being. So much so that when he suggested we head to
Las Vegas to get married, I had to tell him about something that
has bothered me for quite a while. What I told him at first caused
a bit of an argument.” She squeezed her fiancé’s
hand. “Well, maybe a better way to describe it would be
some hurtful sentiments. We spent the night apart. But the next
morning, we were able to discuss it maturely. Mark loves me.”
“You two didn’t break off your engagement, did you?
Man, don’t tell me that is what’s going on. You two
belong together. It’s plain for everyone to see.”
“No,” Emmi smiled. “Far from it. I told Mark
about a fantasy that I’ve been thinking about. A sexual
fantasy.”
“Wait a second,” Jay blurted. “I know the three
of us are close, but you don’t have to share something like
that with me.”
“But we want to. We want to because in my fantasy it’s
not only Mark and myself, but you also.”
A clock could be heard ticking in another room. Jay’s swarthy
features paled a bit as he glanced from one to the other. He cleared
his throat. Then he cleared it again. His eyes searched Mark’s
steady gaze. “I don’t know what’s going on here,
but I want you to know I’ve never made a pass at Emmi. Never.
I wouldn’t do that to you.”
Mark chuckled. “I know that, Jay.”
Jay studied his friend for a moment, swung his gaze to Emmi, and
then back again. Understanding, however tentative, dawned in his
eyes. “Are you saying— Are you asking what I think
you’re asking?”
Mark wrapped an arm around Emmi’s shoulders and pulled her
close. “Yes.”
“Spell it out,” Jay demanded softly. He had it figured
out, but even as sexually prolific as he was, he found it hard
to believe that the couple before him was actually inviting him
to join them beneath the covers.
“I know Emmi loves me, but she’s been struggling with
the fact that sexually, she’s attracted to you. It took
a bit for me to understand, but what she feels really is not romantic
love. She took the chance to tell me her deepest emotions, knowing
full well there was every possibility that I might walk away.”
His blue eyes softened, but sparkled as his gaze followed the
line of one blushing cheek. Emmi peeked back at him. “She
felt guilty when I asked her to elope and refused to say yes until
I knew exactly what she was feeling.”
Jay scrubbed his jaw with a trembling hand as he stared across
the table. Anyone could see how the two felt about one another.
Mark and Emmi were a matched set. They always had been and always
would be. He couldn’t help it when his gaze slid over Emmi’s
breasts which were outlined by the tight satin blouse. Most women
couldn’t carry off satin or silk. But Emmi was firm without
an extra pound on her petite frame.
His cock stirred in his pants at the thought of her naked. He
should be ashamed of himself. He’d never thought of her
in that way. She had always been Mark’s, always would be.
Besides, Mark was his best friend. Because of that very special
bond, Jay had never paid attention to Emmi’s womanly attributes—as
strange as that was. Jay would be the first to state he was a
“hound dog”. He loved women with a passion. He loved
to kiss them and he loved to fuck them, but not Emmi. It just
wasn’t like that with her.
Now she wanted him—and Mark was okay with it?
Amazing.
He leaned forward and studied each of them again. “I know
this sounds dense but, Emmi, did you just blurt out to Mark that
you wanted to go to bed with me? Come on, you two. You’ve
got to admit this is fucking bizarre.”
“This isn’t Emmi’s idea,” Mark instantly
replied. “She just told me that she’d fantasized about
the two of us in bed with her. That’s all. An admission
forced because the thought filled her with guilt. Jay, I was the
one to suggest to her that if you agreed, the three of us should
talk about it. I just felt that since she’d opened up to
me, it was something we’d always think about. I want to
do this for her. I wouldn’t trust anyone except you. Just
once. That’s all.” He sat back to study his friend
for a moment. “Can I ask you something?”
Jay shook his head in bewilderment. “If you think you can
top what you just suggested, go ahead.”
Mark laughed outright, feeling better about the evening with every
passing minute. “Have you ever been in a ménage?”
Jay’s heart rate picked up. “What is this, truth or
dare? All right, sorry. That was pretty flippant on my part.”
He sat back and stared at the couple again. “You two have
surprised the hell out of me. Okay. Honestly, Mark? Never. Not
that I haven’t thought about it. I like my women for sure,
but the opportunity for a threesome has never presented itself,
either with two consenting women or with a couple I’m very
close to.”
“Well, it’s presenting itself now,” Mark stated
quietly.

is a full novel with half of it featuring only a M/M story, and
the other half strictly F/F. It IS possible to read just one of
the halves (along with the Conclusion portion) and still enjoy
this unique gay/lesbian book to the fullest. Here’s a steaming
preview of the M/M love story.
[Setup: Left
behind to man the B&B, Clifford Garrett is alarmed---and instantly
attracted---when a dark and mysterious hitchhiker arrives at the
inn. Between the furtive glances Manny Valentino shoots over his
burly shoulders, the pistol hidden in his biker vest and the impressive
“gun” nestled inside his ragged jeans, Cliff’s
not sure if he’s got himself a dangerous drifter…or
the answer to his libido’s prayers.]
The recessed light over the shower stall streamed down, bathing
Manny in a soft silver glow. Each and every swell and undulation
of muscle shone clear and well defined by the light.
Cliff felt his mouth go dry. He let himself take a quick inspection
of the rippled abs, the wide, brawny shoulders and the powerfully
corded legs made for thrusting. The chest was covered with just
the right amount of dark curls. Rosy nipples, taut and erect,
pushed their way through the array of hair. He tried to imagine
what it might feel like to run his fingers through the soft fur.
It made his hands clench into fists. Cliff’s body went rigid
and his vision blurred. He drew off his glasses, set them on the
sink and rubbed his eyes.
“Sorry, you startled me. I didn’t know you were in
the shower, and I didn’t hear the water running, either.”
Why did he sound so defensive? It was his home. And after all,
he’d done nothing wrong.
“Sorry, back. I didn’t know you were in the middle
of brushing your teeth. I’d just stepped in the tub when
I realized I forgot my washcloth. Um, can you put your eyeballs
back in your head and hand me one?”
“Yes, I---sure.” Glancing away, Cliff turned toward
the small linen closet and located a washcloth. He curled his
hand around the fluffy terrycloth. Now just walk on over there
real nonchalant like, hand it to him and walk away, you stupid
idiot.
He spun back around. Cliff heard the water blast from the faucet.
A click sounded when Manny pulled the knob and the rush of water
spraying from the shower filled the small room. He heard a guttural
sigh, an animal sound of bliss that made Cliff’s heart stutter
and his groin quicken. The spatter of water against tile became
a seductive, irresistible tune in the room that drew him closer.
One step. Gulp. Two steps. Gulp. It seemed the
bathroom became one of those never-ending hallways seen in horror
movies. Manny was that unattainable goal at the very end looming
just out of reach no matter how many strides Cliff took. He scolded
himself for being so dramatic and continued his trek. Three, four,
five.
An eternity passed before he got close enough to clearly view
the intricate floral design in the curtain. There was the flip
of the shampoo bottle, the squirting of it onto a palm. Through
the light-colored vinyl, he could just barely make out the outline
of Manny’s body as he raised his thick arms and started
to scrub his head. Cliff’s pulse pounded in his ears. He
groaned when that spot deep inside his loins started to throb.
His legs trembled as he stood there on the opposite side of the
curtain and clutched the washcloth.
Clearing his throat, he croaked, “H-here you go…buddy.”
Buddy? Why the fuck did you call him buddy, for christssake?
Manny slid the curtain over just far enough to peer out at Cliff.
Steam wafted up, its foggy clouds curling in wisps between them.
Cliff could already smell the scent of his own shampoo. Manny’s
hair was bubbly and slicked back from his face, and Cliff wondered
how it was that he could look even more handsome waterlogged than
he had the first time he’d laid eyes on this transient stranger
in the saloon. It seemed he strangled on his own desire, and he
thought he’d truly choke on the steam if something didn’t
happen soon…or if his damn legs didn’t carry his stubborn
body out of here before he did something really stupid.
He couldn’t quit panting, couldn’t stop staring as
the water sluiced down and followed the tight curves of muscle
and flat planes of fit abs. He forced himself to ignore that beautiful
body for he feared if he indulged in one more glance, he’d
do something rash and make a total fool of himself.
“Thanks.” For the longest time, Manny just stood there
staring down at Cliff. Strange emotions swirled in the unusual-colored
eyes. Finally, he snatched the washcloth and shoved the curtain
back into place.
“Y-you’re welcome,” he murmured. An odd jumble
of relief and disappointment assailed Cliff. He closed his eyes,
sighed and turned back toward the door. He was almost in the corridor
when he heard Manny curse.
“Goddamn it, Cliff.”
Cliff whirled around. He wasn’t sure what he’d done
to piss Manny off, but even after that sensual act of retrieving
a washcloth, he was ready to defend himself to the temperamental
god.
“What? What did I---”
Manny yanked back the curtain. Water pounded his right shoulder
and trailed down to bathe that gorgeous specimen. Cliff should
have thrown up a bright red flag and stormed from the room. But
hell, how could he when he suddenly felt like a petrified tree
entrenched into the cold tile floor?
Instead, he tore his gaze away, determined to fight this cruel,
overt temptation head on. He shot a quick look at the rack. A
towel indeed hung there. And he knew for a fact there was soap
in the shower, because he’d just added a new bar that morning.
He couldn’t think of anything more Manny would be barking
about.
But Manny’s next words didn’t come out as a bark.
Uh-uh. Far from it. They were the sexiest two words Cliff had
ever heard in his life.
“Get in.”
~*~*~*~
Manny had stood behind the shower curtain in total agony. Even
though his mind screamed, Don’t you dare do it,
his body shouted, Son of a bitch, he’d looked good standing
there with no shirt and nothing but boxer-style pajama bottoms
on!
“G-get in?”
“Yes, get in with me. I can see it in your eyes. You want
to,” he challenged.
“Y-you’re asking me to take a shower with you?”
“No.” Manny propped a hand on the tile wall. “I’m
telling you to.”
“But I…are you sure?”
“No again, but I’m not going to know for certain unless
I give it a try, am I now?” He added a wink to that, loving
the way it lit Cliff’s eyes up. He liked him in glasses,
but without them, his pretty-boy looks proved even more potent.
It was like he was getting a glimpse of a hidden treasure meant
only for special peeks. Without the spectacles, the stark irises
were bigger, the lashes more defined. He imagined what they would
look like in the throes of passion.
And why not give it a try? No one would ever know. He was out
in the middle of Bumfuck. He didn’t know a soul here, and
they sure as hell wouldn’t be getting to know him. He’d
be gone in a matter of days and would never look back. Clifford
Garrett would be a forgotten memory in no time. After warring
with himself and trying to get up the nerve to invite Cliff to
shower with him, he’d come to a very logical conclusion.
It was the ideal situation to test his sexuality and prove something
very important.
That I’m not gay.
Cool air wisped in to calm Manny’s ardor, but his pole only
seemed to be getting harder. When Cliff just stood there like
a zombie with his thin pajamas starting to tent up, Manny remarked,
“Hmm, I’ve been wondering…it doesn’t seem
to bother you that your ex-wife turned out to be a lesbian. Why
is it, Cliff, that it’s so easy for you to live under the
same roof as Molly and her female lover?”
He shoved a hand through his hair again leaving the longish locks
standing on end. He shifted from one bare foot to the other. “I…I
don’t know.”
“Bullshit.”
At that one-word accusation, Cliff blinked. “Are you going
to start being a jerk again?”
Manny grinned. “Sorry. But how about you strip those pants
off, get in and we’ll discuss it under the hot showerhead?”
He made a play of shivering. “I’m starting to catch
a chill, and I don’t want to let out all this nice steam.”
Cliff took a full thirty seconds to ponder and bicker with himself.
Manny could see the rainbow of emotions clouding his eyes. As
the seconds ticked by, Manny decided he needed to use a bit more
persuasion. Besides, if his cock didn’t get some attention
soon, he’d have a case of spontaneous combustion on his
hands---literally. So without taking his gaze from Cliff’s,
he soaped up his hand and started stroking himself. He heard Cliff
gulp and watched with glib satisfaction as those lime eyes traveled
lower, locking on Manny’s masturbation act.
“Suit yourself. But if you’re not going to join me,”
he rasped, “I’ll be damned if I’m going to let
a good stiff one go to waste.” He clenched his jaw. This
was wildly exciting being watched by an obviously turned-on man
while he jacked himself off. The slickness of his palm grazed
up and down his rod, fueling his libido, making his balls tighten
in preparation for the coming ejaculation. God, could he get any
harder?
It did the trick. With a strangled moan, Cliff bent and swiped
off his pants. In two seconds flat, he was standing in the tub
with Manny, his chest inflating and deflating with his excitement.

PURSUIT OF PLEASURE

“I’m grateful
for your help. I know the decision didn’t come easy, considering
what I had done to you. I’m glad it was you at the club
that night.”
Oh, for heaven’s sake. “I’m simply helping because
if the Xerexians are not stopped, we’ll all be in a hell
of a lot more trouble,” he tossed back gruffly.
It didn’t faze Ariana. “Still, you could’ve
just overpowered all of us and escaped. You’re a good man,
Dax.”
She thought he was a good man? He stifled a disgusted snort. He’d
rather she thought of him as sexy, irresistible, hot. Dax stepped
close to her, intentionally invading her personal space. “You
might not think so after I demand payment for hauling all your
asses to safety.”
She blinked. “What do you mean?”
His gaze dropped to her chest. The meaning was unmistakable. “No
jump drive. No weapons. That means if the Xerexians ever get wind
of us, we’re good as dead. For putting my life on the line
for you and your family, I figured I deserve a payment that’s
equal to the risk I’m taking.”
Ariana took a jerky step back. “The crown jewels are worth
an awful lot of cash currency.”
“I’m interested in more than the crown jewels.”
He boxed her in, the console at her back preventing her from moving
away. “I’m interested in the body that wears them.”
She swallowed. “My mother?”
Through the lust that zinged through his flesh, Dax managed a
chuckle. “Nice try. You know exactly what I mean.”
He dipped his head toward her.
“W-wait…”
Heat swirled in his stomach, spreading lower to wrap fingers of
fire around his suddenly erect shaft. Ariana’s lips were
damp, quivering ever so slightly. This woman was dangerous. That
alone should have driven him to step away and put some distance
between them. But like a lamb being led to slaughter, he couldn’t
stop himself from leaning in until he was just a hair’s
breadth away. Her light scent teased his nostrils, evoking memories
of a summer rain shower back home on Earth.
The darkening of her eyes told him she wasn’t immune. Good.
At least he wasn’t the only one hot and bothered. “Let
me show you what I want.”
“I don’t think—”
Dax never gave her a chance to finish what she’d been about
to say. He touched his lips to hers gently, intending to coax
a response. Nice and slow. Her taste, sweet and fresh, exploded
in his senses. The softness of her bottom lip roused the predator
in him. Forget nice and slow. His good intentions flew out the
proverbial window. With a low growl, Dax changed the angle of
the kiss, intensifying the contact, his tongue delving deep in
the damp cavern of her mouth.
Ariana’s soft moan could barely be heard over the hum of
the engine, but it was enough to send fire shooting in his veins.
Lust suffused his entire body, igniting places Dax never knew
existed. He pulled her closer, kissing her like a starving man,
greedy for more. Finesse didn’t even enter into it. He wanted
more of her.
Bewildered by his unprecedented reaction to a mere kiss, Dax tore
his lips away. He was panting hard. His heart was beating so fast
it felt like it was going to jump out of his chest. His memory
of their kiss at the club didn’t fail him. All along, he’d
thought it was the spiked drink that made their encounter unforgettable.
Stunned, he stepped back, ignoring the vicious protest from a
certain part of his anatomy that demanded he stay. No other woman
had ever aroused him with such intensity and swiftness. Damn.
“I don’t want the crown jewels. Nor do I need cash
credits.” He ran a thumb over her damp lower lip. “There’s
only one thing I want as payment for my services.” He tipped
her chin up. “You.”

ALPHA 3: HOME
By Treva

“Stay
out of this, Grey.” Rome jammed his elbow, hard, into the
fool who thought he had a chance to take him off guard. The man
crumpled to the floor, whimpering. “Stay out or take me
on.”
“Shit, boy.” The new man took a step forward.
Rome whirled, adrenaline surging, and grabbed Grey by the collar.
“Didn’t you hear me?”
They were almost mouth to mouth. Shit. Yeah, it was Grey all right.
The same scars criss-crossing his face. The same scowl. Grey said
people were put off by his scars. He’d even seriously thought
Rome should be put off because Grey was older. But there was a
hell of a lot more to him than some old wounds or grizzled hair.
Ah, hell. Grey’s scent was just as sexy as ever. His body
was just as muscular, tough and potent. Rome swallowed, his throat
suddenly going dry.
Grey barked out a short laugh. “You’re getting mighty
close for a fighting man. Do you want to fight me or fuck me?”
Both. Holy God, he wanted both.
“Why’re you here?” Pushing Grey away, Rome kicked
out, landing a blow right under the chin of the bartender, who
had been inching toward his nightstick.
“To fetch you back, boy. We need you.”
“Why?”
