CANDY STORE
http://www.ellorascave.com/productpage.asp?ISBN=9781419910203
On the verge of
losing her candy store, Callie Moore decides to blot out her
troubles with a tall, dark, handsome stranger. Tobey Danville isn't
about to turn down a cute, curvy blonde who offers sizzling-hot sex
in a commercial refrigerator at his best friend's wedding reception.
But the next day, when Callie discovers that Tobey is the consultant
she has hired to save her store, they find it difficult to
concentrate on business. Especially when giving and getting pleasure
in each other's arms is so much more fun!

Publisher’s Weekly called Bella Andre’s writing “fierce” and also
said this about TEMPT ME, TASTE ME, TOUCH ME: "sweet, sensual,
empowered stories enveloped in heady romance. Andre scores with her
subtle use of Napa Valley food, wine and atmosphere, making her
stories that much more delicious."
Bella’s March 2007 release, RED HOT REUNION is now available for
pre-order!
http://www.amazon.com/Red-Hot-Reunion-Bella-Andre/dp/1416524185/ref=pd_bxgy_b_img_b/104-5875279-8626325
Tammie
Ard at Fresh Fiction says RED HOT REUNION is a “sizzling hot look at
finding true happiness. RED HOT REUNION is exactly like the title
says – red hot and sizzling! Getting reacquainted with someone
can't get much hotter. It's always nice to read a book and have a
visual of the characters, and I was able to picture each one
clearly. I recommend RED HOT REUNION be added to your must-read
list.”

2007
is already off to a great start for Lacey. She returned from
vacation last month to find another contract offer from Ellora's
Cave. She accepted (of course!), and now that the ink's dry on the
paperwork she can share that the book is a quickie entitled WED AND
WANTON, which will be part of the Naughty Nuptials (June Brides)
series to be released – you guessed it!
– in June of this year.
In February, Lacey's first book at Ellora's Cave will be released.
It's entitled FIGHTING CHANCE, and it's the first book in a
three-book series about the Chance brothers. They're cursed to keep
running into their mates at the most inopportune times, resulting in
a series of frustrating one-night-stands – at least, until the
brothers decide to take matters into their own hands. Each will meet
his match at the hands of a heroine who doesn't mind being chased,
but who really doesn't want to be caught...
February will also see the release of Lacey’s DAWN OF THE ALPHA, a
futuristic/paranormal erotic romance in what will likely become a
new series about a very special breed of shape shifters.

Titania
Ladley
www.titanialadley.com
Titania Ladley is excited to
announce her first gay/lesbian novel has just released at
Ellora’s Cave! This unique two-in-one love story is almost like
a one-author, two-story anthology. The male/male half can be read
as a stand-alone along with the conclusion section, as can the
female/female half. Here’s a blurb for you:
At fate's toss of
a coin, everything changes for innkeepers Clifford and Molly
Garrett. Are they both really gay, or was it a horrible mistake to
divorce?
Heads…
Left behind to man the B&B, Cliff is instantly attracted when a dark
and mysterious hitchhiker arrives at the inn. Between the furtive
glances Manny Valentino shoots over his burly shoulders, the pistol
hidden in his biker vest and the impressive "gun" nestled inside his
ragged jeans, Cliff's not sure if he's got himself a dangerous
drifter…or the answer to his libido's prayers.
Tails…
Taking her turn managing the inn while Cliff's away, Molly's
pleasantly stunned by an Amish woman who comes seeking shelter. But
gorgeous Gwenyth Freemont isn't looking for a vacation destination.
Tracked by her abusive husband, Gwen runs like hell right into
Molly's welcoming embrace…and into her heart and soul.
Reader Advisory: Though HEAD OR TAILS? is the story of a
divorced couple exploring their suspected gay sexualities, it is
possible to read just the m/m half, or just the f/f half (along with
the conclusion section), and still enjoy this unique gay/lesbian
story to its fullest.

SHIFTING SANDS
RECOMMENDED READ!
"Shifting Sands
is a magical time travel that will make you
believe you've actually visited Ancient Egypt right beside Elena
and Ramose. These two face challenges and they fight to keep
their attraction under control, but there are forces at work
here that neither one of them can stop. All the characters felt
true to life and the descriptive setting will transport you. I
love reading of Egypt and was pleased at how well Ms. Savage
pulled this one off. I have to say Ms. Savage has a new reader
to this series. I definitely recommend
Shifting Sands."

4 Angels!
"Lacy Savage delivers a hot, holiday story that is sure to leave
readers smiling. The storyline is imaginative and
straightforward and lets the characters take center stage.
Grace's longing for something to fill the hours away from work
should strike a chord in most readers. The transition between
scenes was believable within the workings of the plot and set
the scene well for the coming heat. Grace and Arduine are well
matched in their bold, sensual natures. I enjoyed Grace's
reaction to the first glimpse of Arduine and her responses just
got better as the story progressed. Ms. Savage makes this a
sensual read that ends with just the right touch of humor and
romance."
FERAL HEDONISM
4
Stars!
"I enjoyed the different layers that were a part of this story: intrique, BDSM, acceptance, forgiveness, and self-awareness. Ms.
Savage creates a character in Ali that wants to be loved and not
being able to find it, she sets out to destroy the very group
that would not love her. I was able to sympathize with Ali and
understand the reasons behind her goal to destroy. Victor is a
Master in every sense of the word. The sexual chemistry between
Victor and Ali, and Ali and other parties was very hot! Ms.
Savage displayed a different tweist to the relationship between
a Master and his submissive which was brilliant. Feral Hedonism
is the third stand-alone book in the Feral series. All of the
secondary characters played an integral part in Ali's healing,
however, there was one character, Emma, that I would love to see
in a sparate story. From the first page of this story, the plot
flowed smoothly leading the reader to a beautiful finish. Once
again Ms. Savage proved what a great writer she is and I am
looking forward to her next story."

enjoyable story that will likely linger in the reader's mind for
some time. After savoring one particularly extra-spicy scene in
which Christmas music is playing in the background, this reader
wonders if she will ever be able to listen to Christmas music again
without remembering that scene. If you're searching for an
entertaining, satisfying quickie, that's definitely what you'll find

HEADS OR TAILS?
"It was fantastic, a
must read. It combined all the elements that I’ve come to love in a
book. Romance, sex and suspense. It’s one of those you have to read

4 1/2 Stars! “Aurora’s
Triangle is a vampire book unlike any I’ve read in a while. From
the story’s memorable opening scene to the very last page, I found
myself drawn to this book. All three main characters proved to be
likeable and easily empathetic. Ms. Ladley can’t go wrong with her
very hip and resourceful female scientist and two sexy Vencelze
vampires who also happen to shape shift into falcons… There are a
few surprises and some light bondage in a world of people that was
new to me, especially these very different and fascinating vampire
race that allows for some inventive and sizzling ménage sex.
Aurora’s Triangle was a thoroughly enjoyable story, and a fresh
take on the vampire lore which ends on a very promising note.”

4 Stars! "Titania Ladley does a great job
giving readers everything they are looking for in this book. There
is great pleasure in the sex scenes, the characters are well
developed and the plot line is complete… Both Endre and Tabor are
caring lovers, who explain their race as well as their plight to
Aurora with both passion and tenderness. The sex between the three
is bone meltingly tantalizing. Be warned there is anal sex in this
novel. A great read for those interested in great sex and a look
into a different kind of vampire."

"I love a good book
with a ménage relationship, and Titania Ladley’s Aurora’s
Triangle had a great plot with some delicious twists. I
enjoyed some very hot scenes with the threesome in this book, and
was very intrigued by the vampire world the author created in this

vampire mythos is so intriguing, it has potential to become a

ESSENCE OF EMERALD
5 Blue Ribbons! "From
the very first page Ruby Storm’s ESSENCE OF EMERALD captures the
readers interest. I became very intrigued by Emmi, Mark and Jay,
their situation, and the emotions that are almost tangible. I loved
the heartfelt honesty between the characters and the adult way they
sit down and discuss the possibility of fulfilling Emmi’s fantasy.
It’s obvious that the friendship they share is extremely important
to all of them and somehow that makes their menage much more
personal and sweet. While the menage is undoubtably very hot and
exciting, it’s the emotional interaction and trust between them that
brings an extra satisfying spark to this storyline. This is a
thrilling story that I will definitely be adding to my keeper shelf
to read again in the near future."

CRACKED: PRELUDE TO PASSION
"Cracked:
Prelude to Passion
is a wonderfully written story. It is one of those, edge of your

linked or connected everything within the story. The twists are
truly surprising and unexpected. Character Calli Lemont’s meeting

SAPPHIRE'S SEDUCTION
"SAPPHIRE’S
SEDUCTION
provides a glimpse of the wild side at a nude resort. It’s a sexy
story about the true freedom that can be found when we step outside
of society’s norms. Melanie is the most reserved of the group and
has the most difficult time letting go. Corrie is a free spirit who
feels at home at the resort. The men are eager for their wives to
display their honed bodies to the other patrons. Just knowing that
they are wanted by the other men raises their burning desires. In
just under 70 pages, SAPPHIRE’S SEDUCTION is a heated page
turner that’s filled with sexy scenes everyone will enjoy. Be
warned: like the Ryans and the Jensons, you may find yourself caught
up in the Sapphire Resort’s seductive appeal and experience the
sudden desire to shed some clothing -- and inhibitions -- of your

is a thrilling story about two teenagers that shared a special
summer together but then parted ways. Kody was a wild child that
needed time to become a man and Rose is a sweet, strong girl who'd
had no choice but to become a grown-up woman much too quickly. With
emotion packed scenes and undeniable chemistry,
Ruby Storm has penned a story
that you won’t want to miss. The love scenes alone are worth twice
the cost of the book – Ms. Storm
knows what her readers want and how to deliver it! In addition to
several very poignant moments that caused my eyes to tear and my
heart to melt, Winter’s Rose has earned a spot on my

"WINTER'S
ROSE
is about the youngest Winter brother, Kody, who's just as sexy and
dominating as the other two. Kody has one thing on his
mind...getting Rose back. He quickly learns it won't be as easy as
he thinks. But it's sure going to be fun persuading her back into
his arms, and his bed. Rose's life has never been a piece of cake.
Her home life sucked, the only joy in her life was Kody, until he
left her. Discovering he'd left her with a tiny part of him, Rose
picked up the pieces of her broken heart and moved forward. When
these two get together again, it's explosive. Their sexual escapades
are spicy and beautiful. Readers will root for a happily-ever-after
between Rose and Kody and hope for understanding on his part when he
learns Rose's secret. Author Ruby Storm wraps up the Winter
Studs series perfectly. WINTER'S ROSE is skillfully
written with in-depth characterization, red-hot sex scenes, but most
of all it has the emotion and feeling that make it complete."

3. Presenting our featured authors for this
month
Mary Winter Presents our Featured
Authors for this Month
This month we have interviews with two
more new Sirens, LACEY SAVAGE and RUBY STORM, as well as an
interview with Siren, TREVA HARTE.
Hello. I think introductions are a
good way to start. Please tell us a bit about yourself.
Lacey Savage:
Let's see... I'm 26 and
I've been happily married to my very own Prince Charming for
eight years (you do the math *g*). We have no kids, but we do
have a cat who gets all of our attention. By day, I work as a
technical writer for a small software company, then I come home
and once again sit in front of a computer for hours on end, this
time letting the steamy side of my personality come out to play.
Treva Harte:
I’m Treva Harte and I’ve
been writing erotic romance for—wow, seven years now. Besides
my books in print and ebook formats, I’m also Editor-in-Chief
and one of the owners of Loose Id, LLC, a cross-genre erotic
romance company. I’m an attorney, wife, mother and caretaker for
my elderly mom. I don’t have time to get out much. You can
check me out at
www.trevaharte.com.
Ruby Storm:
Hi there! I’m Ruby Storm and I’m a recovering book addict. (Hey
wait a minute...is this the right forum?)Why you ask am I
a recovering addict? Because now I’m writing books and, DARN!, I can’t find
enough to read anymore! My love for books goes beyond normal
sanity. I remember being quite young, curled up in a cozy chair
reading a book with my mother’s voice in the background going,
“Why don’t you go outside and play?” I just couldn’t. Not until
I read ‘the end’. In fact, I was so crazy about books from a
very early age that the
school librarian always saved the newest animal stories just for
me so my name would be the first written on the checkout card!
(Check-out card...now that really dates me, doesn't it?)
Along about the age of 14, my
mother’s friend introduced me to her personal library. Books
written by Victoria Holt were my favorite. I think that was the
age I began to fall in love with romance. Reading Katherine
Woodiwiss’s The Flame and The Flower cemented my love for
the 'new, groud-breaking' type of romance. I’ve been a junkie ever since! I started
writing my first book when I was 22 years old. I shoved it into
a drawer until I was forty, took it out and finished it. I’m
thrilled to say that book was KEEPER OF THE SPIRIT, that
very same book, has just been nominated for a Romantic Times Reviewer’s
Choice Award!
The book of my heart. I couldn’t be happier about it!
Tell us what one of your characters
has planned for Valentine's Day, or would plan? (Or if you have
Valentine's Day story to share that'd be okay too!)
Lacey Savage:
My favorite characters are tough-guy Alpha male heroes who have
a real soft spot for the heroine. Take Tristan Chance (from my
upcoming Ellora's Cave novel, FIGHTING CHANCE), for
example. People call him "The Saint", and not because he's a
softy. His nickname is always spoken with a note of reverence
and downcast eyes. So you can imagine that a guy like that
wouldn't exactly be up for sending hot air balloons with his
sweetheart's name on them to float in the sky. Instead, he'd
probably sweep his lady off her feet from dusk 'til dawn (he IS
a vampire, after all). He'd shower her with her favorite things
and then exhaust her until the early hours of the morning. Come
to think of it, that's the way I'll be spending my Valentine's
Day, too! *g*
Treva Harte:
My few Valentine Day stories are not very romantic, I’m afraid.
I remember bringing along a big box of Valentine Day candy when
my DH and I were childless - and relatively encumbrance-free and
driving down to Charleston, SC. Charleston is a lovely, romantic
place. Unfortunately we both got very sick with the flu and the
whole idea of a box of candy was really unpleasant by the end of
that drive. That’s probably why most of my characters don’t
really plan romantic Valentine Day escapes. Sorry. However, I
always, without fail, get flower and um – other things – from
the DH for Valentine’s Day. Just no more candy.
Ruby Storm:
Oh yes! I do have a Valentine’s story! It’s a novella included
in the Diamond Studs anthology called A DIAMOND IN
THE ROUGH. It’s an erotic fantasy about two crazy cupids given
the job to bring two unhappy humans together. Larry La’mour and
Rosebud Kisses have only six days to accomplish this difficult
task in order to earn their official fairy Gold Wings and my
poor humans, Brian Valentine and Claire Holliday are their
victims. I had a
wonderful time writing this fantasy because I was able to inject
a lot of humor in regard to the fairies, and the reviewers loved
it! The tale is two love stories in one!
Tell us about your latest or upcoming
story.
Lacey Savage:
I have two books coming out
in February, so let me tell you a bit about both.
DAWN OF THE ALPHA is a Valentine's
Day story coming out from Loose Id right around the holiday.
It's not your typical Valentine's Day book, however. There are
no fluffy candy hearts and sweet, soft lovemaking in this one.
It's a dark futuristic story that features a shape shifter hero
who's persecuted for what he is, and a heroine who's vowed to
free herself from the clutches of an Earth government that would
see her used as a sex slave for the rest of her days. Rhyanne
uses the Saint Valentine's Festival to put her plan into motion,
but she doesn't expect to run into Quinn and fall for him at the
most unlikely time. Neither one knows just how much peril
they're in by being together, and as events escalate around
them, they find both solace and terrifying danger in each
other's arms.
FIGHTING CHANCE is my first release
from Ellora's Cave, and I'm extremely excited about it. It's a
vampire novel, the first in a three-book vampire series about
the Chance brothers. The brothers are cursed to keep running
into their mates at the most inopportune times, resulting in a
series of frustrating one-night-stands -- at least, until they
decide to take matters into their own hands. Each will meet his
match at the hands of a heroine who doesn't mind being chased,
but who really doesn't want to be caught...
Treva Harte:
My latest story just came out and it’s called HOME. It’s the
third in my werewolf trilogy Alpha series. In this one a ménage
that shouldn’t work is formed and Rome, the one who thinks he is
a lone wolf, learns something about bonding and being an Alpha. And, of course, there’s sex.
Ruby Storm:
I’ve got three on tap (pardon the pun as I speak about my
ménages series, Precious Gems.) SAPPHIRE'S SEDUCTION was
released this past November. ESSENCE OF EMERALD was just released at
Ellora’s Cave on Feb 7. PERFECTING PEARL, a gay ménage, is due out
March 28th. This is my first gay love story, but I
hope it won’t be my last. And then I have a contempory, MR.
FULLSERVICE, a love story
about a younger man and an older woman which will be released on June 1st.
If you haven’t had a chance to check out the covers for all
four of these books, hurry on over to my site and check out my romantica page. The cover artists at Ellora’s Cave did a
wonderful job! All are mmmmm-licious!
What do you love about writing?
Lacey Savage:
I love the act of creating a story. I'm a die-hard plotter, so I
have a solid outline by the time I sit at my computer and begin
to write. The time I spend getting to know my characters and
watching the idea take shape is my favorite, followed closely by
the editing process. I love getting to polish a draft with the
assistance of my fabulous critique partner, my beta readers and
my editor. Everything in between is hard work! *g*
Treva Harte:
Creating a world and characters that can do just about anything
– and will.
Ruby Storm:
Everything! Absolutely everything. Writing for a living has
given me the opportunity to work out of my home and do the one
thing I love most. Some days I put in sixteen hours in my home
office and there isn’t another place in the world I’d rather be
or another job that I’d rather be doing.
Do you have a guilty indulgence?
Something you do just for you. Want to share?
Lacey Savage:
I play video games! My usual addictions range around
fantasy-based MMORPGs (Everquest) and single player RPGs
(Oblivion, Morrowind, Neverwinter Nights), but lately I've been
hooked on playing Poker on my Wii. What can I say? I work for a
software company. I'm a geek at heart!
Treva Harte:
Besides writing and reading? Truthfully, that’s probably it. I
do write mostly for me, though I’m quite happy if my readers
want to come along.
Ruby Storm:
OMG – this is sooooo stupid! I’ve got two of them. One is
spaghetti! YUPPERS! Surprised you, didn’t it? It’s my soul food.
At any given time you can come into my house and look in my
fridge. There’s always sauce and noodles ready to heat up. I
grew up with my Italian grandmother shaking her head at me all
the time and saying, “Dearie, if I put red sauce on a dog turd,
you’d eat it, wouldn’t you?” LOL. Okay, the other is the movie
Dances With Wolves. I think I’ve seen that movie a hundred
times. When it’s on tv, I’m there. When I’m frazzled and don’t
feel like writing, I pop in my VHS tape and watch it. Hey, I’m
going to have to move into the next century and get that movie
on DVD. Kevin Costner….**sigh**
If you could spend a secluded weekend
somewhere, where would you go and why?
Lacey Savage:
Oh, definitely Mexico. My husband and I got married on the beach
and now we go back every year. I'd love to go more often than
once a year, but until I win the lottery or consistently begin
to hit the New York Times Bestseller list, that's not likely to
happen. So if I could just fly somewhere on a whim, I'd go to my
favorite resort in the Mayan Riviera... with my husband, of
course. :-)
Treva Harte:
I love the beach and warm weather (ESPECIALLY in February.) I’d
probably head for the Outer Banks or Charleston, SC with my DH.
Why? Well, because then we could be alone without the rest of
the household. I suppose it’s possible we might just enjoy
peace and quiet. Or we might do…other things.
Ruby Storm:
Being from Minnesota (ya you betcha…) um…let’s see. I’d take my
honey of 32 years and head for a secluded cabin on a quiet lake
in the middle of the woods. We’d sit on the porch and listen to
the loons. Then as the sun dropped off the horizon, I’d take his
hand and lead him inside. Then we’d…. <shakes head> Oh yeah! I
gotta go write that scene…
What tidbits would you like to tell
readers that you haven’t done yet here?
Lacey Savage:
I'd like to invite readers
to subscribe to my newsletter. It comes out every second Sunday,
and it's full of interesting articles, trivia tid-bits, sexy
male eye candy, interviews with other authors, book excerpts,
and contests. To join, either send an email to lacey_savage_news-subscribe@yahoogroups.com
or visit
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/lacey_savage_news/ and
sign up there.
Treva Harte:
Eeee. I’m starting to stir a story in the back of my mind that
may be historical and paranormal and quite different from what
I’ve done before. But it’s not quite cooked yet.
Ruby Storm:
That I’m living the life I was meant to live. It took a lot of
nerve to listen to my husband who urged me to do the thing I
wanted to do most. It was tough the first couple of years and I
fretted that I’d made a horrible mistake, but I’m glad I did it.
Don’t be afraid to follow your heart! Thanks to all the readers
who think I also did the right thing!

Reading,
Food & Inventive Fun By Lacey Savage
At the risk of
sounding exceptionally obvious—February is love month! But more
importantly, it’s chocolate month. I don’t know about you,
but there’s nothing better than parting your lips for a solid piece
of hard, mouthwatering, gooey… err… damn. I lost my train of
thought.
Oh,
right—chocolate. Did you know…
Ø
The
cocoa tree can grow only 20 degrees above and below the equator, in
semi-darkness at a 1,300-to 2,300-foot altitude? (Thank God for
such places!)
Ø
The
Mayan peasants revolted against a cocoa tax levy? This is thought to
have been one of the contributing factors that lead to the downfall
of that civilization. (There’s a lesson in there somewhere…)
Ø
Under
the advice of their government, Swiss chocolate manufacturers store
a year's stash of raw material in secret locations in the Alps? (I
store my chocolate in secret locations around my bedroom, so I can
believe this one.)
Ø
Manufacturers make white chocolate from cocoa butter, rather than
the beans? Therefore it is not, technically speaking, chocolate. (But
it’s still sooooooooo good!)
How about a recipe
to go along with all this fun trivia?
Lacey’s Sinful
Whipped Cream and Chocolate Delight
Ingredients:
2 cups of water 4 oz dark chocolate, chopped 3 tbs Grand Marnier liquor 1/4 cup of whipping cream 1 orange peel; finely grated
Directions:
1. Over medium
heat, place chocolate and water in a small saucepan and bring to a
boil, stirring constantly.
2. Remove from
burner and add Grand Marnier, stirring until the liquor is blended.
3. Beat the
whipping cream with an electric mixer on low or medium speed until
you see soft peaks begin to form.
4. Pour the
chocolate into individual serving cups and top each one with whipped
cream.
5. Sprinkle the
orange peel on top.
Note: You can
substitute fresh raspberries or shaved white chocolate for the
orange peel if you’d prefer.
So what would you
serve before this delectable treat? Our very own Mary Winter has a
fabulous suggestion:
Mary’s Quick
Skillet Chili
“This is a modified
(to be even healthier) Weight Watchers recipe. I cook it for my
partner (a certified meat & potatoes guy) about two-three times a
month, and he loves it!”
Ingredients:
1 small garlic
clove, minced (I use the jar garlic)
1 package frozen mixed vegetables, chopped onion & bell pepper
mixture (I use something called "seasoning blend" found in the
freezer section of my grocery store)
1 lb uncooked lean ground turkey (or ground veggie crumbles like
Morningstar farms)
14 1/2 oz (1 can) diced tomatoes with chili or Mexican spices)
1 cup canned chopped tomatoes (usually with chili or Mexican spices)
2 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp dried oregano leaf
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
15 oz canned pinto beans, drained and rinsed
Directions:
1. Coat a large
skillet with cooking spray and heat over medium-high heat.
2. Add garlic and
frozen vegetable mixture; cook, stirring occasionally, until veggies
thaw and any liquid evaporates (about 3 min).
3. Add
turkey/crumbles, breaking up clumps with back of a spoon/spatula.
Brown, stirring frequently 4. Add the rest of
the ingredients and cook over high heat, stirring occasionally until
some liquid evaporates and chili thickens slightly, about 3 min.
Note: Yields about
1 ½ c. per serving. Garnish with fat free shredded cheddar cheese
and oyster crackers. Makes a very chunky chili. Perfect for cold
winter nights!

OUT OF TIME
By
Treva Harte
www.changelingpress.com
Are you all
right? Damn it, Marisha, you are all right, aren't you?"
"Timmy boy."
Marisha kept her eyes shut but the voice was familiar. Thank
God. Her hallucination was over. Not that Lord Stephan wasn't
gorgeous. But so was Tim, and Tim appeared to be carrying her,
too. "It's you."
"Yes."
"What happened
after I smashed that one guy in the face?"
"Well, it looks
like you broke his nose. Don't worry, sweetie. I finished up the
job as well as I could before the police came."
"Idiot. They
could've had guns." She should have thought about that before
she called him. But Tim seemed indestructible. After all, he
stood six-foot-three in his bare feet and still looked the
football player he'd been.
"Naw. Just
knives. Don't worry. There was no problem." There was a certain
satisfaction in Tim's voice.
"My head still
hurts." Marisha decided to open one eye. Things were a little
blurry but she could see Tim looked as big and powerful as ever.
There might be a bruise or two, but that could be her eyesight.
He looked good. He always did. Too bad they were just pals. Too
bad he was just a baby. A big, gorgeous, powerful baby, mind
you, but too young for her.
"That's why I'm
taking you to the emergency room."
"No. No money
for the deductible. I just want to go home."
"Bad idea,
Marisha."
"I wanna go
home!" Marisha felt her stomach threaten to empty after that
shout. She shut her one eye tightly. "Please, Tim."
"Aw, damn,
Marisha. I always give in when women do that."
"I know.
Please."
"You'll tell me
if you start to feel worse, won't you? I can trust you to do
that?" She could see how hard he was trying to make the question
seem casual.
"Sure." She
wasn't sure if she could feel worse. Then again, the last time
she'd thought that she'd been badly wrong. "I'll call. If not
you, then my mom."
"Right. You're
not calling anyone."
Marisha realized
she'd probably gone too far with that last statement. Tim knew
exactly how she felt about asking her mom for anything,
especially now that Mother had remarried. All the old
mother-daughter closeness had evaporated once Marisha and her
new "dad" had started to clash.
Damn it, why did
she think she could lie to someone who had known her forever?
"I'm going to
stay at your place with you tonight, babe. I'll give you that
much time, but if things don't look good soon I'm taking you to
a doctor." He placed her head, very gently, on a car seat
headrest.
Marisha felt a
little bit like crying. Tim was almost like Mom used to be,
tucking her in at night when she was a kid with a cold. "Aren't
you going out with someone tonight?"
"Nope."
"Liar."
Tim always had
someone to go out with at night. Especially for Valentine's
Day.
She felt him
smooth her hair off her head.
"I'm staying
in with someone tonight, babe. You."
* * * * *
When she opened
her eyes again, she was in the dark. Literally. She could barely
see anything. Marisha disliked that ordinarily, but with her
head throbbing, the blackness felt soothing. She heard something
move near her.
"Lord!" She
gasped. Who the hell had followed her this time?
Wait. No need to
panic. Tim had promised to be there. She was home in bed,
probably.
"Yes, Marisha. 'Tis
I." That wouldn't be Tim. He wasn't a 'tis kind of guy.
She heard Lord
Stephan rustling in the room. At least she hoped it was Lord
Stephan. She had a feeling this wasn't a tidy, pest-free castle.
"I thought I wouldn't be here when I woke up." Marisha sighed.
Light from a
torch flared high up in the air. The man looked down at her, his
face eerie in the flickering light of the flame. He looked big
and grim and ferocious. He looked like a warrior who would be
perfectly willing to kill. Marisha swallowed. That was exactly
what a medieval nobleman was.
Why was she
finding that sexy?
"Marisha, there
is something odd about you. I cannot describe it, but I know I
have not seen your like before." The man's voice hardened. "Are
you a Saracen?"
Saracen. Marisha
tried to remember the romance books she read as a teenager that
had knights and ladies and...Saracens. A Saracen was good or
bad? If she could just think clearly! She sat up, holding her
head. So far, she was lucky. It didn't fall off. In fact, except
for a strange, floating feeling, she felt all right.
Saxons and
Saracens. Saxons were good. So...Saracens were bad. They got
beheaded and things, didn't they?
"Definitely
not." She must be hallucinating or whatever you did when you had
a concussion. But just to play it safe, she didn't want her head
really taken off before she recovered.
"But you are
foreign. Your accent, your choice of words, everything is odd."
His hand gripped her shoulder, tightened for a moment. He pulled
her to her feet without missing a beat. "I take threats to my
keep very seriously, wench. Why are you here?"
"I don't know!"
Marisha wailed. "I don't want to be here."
The grip on her
shoulder gentled. His hand rubbed her back. "Stop that weeping,
wench. I cannot bear for women to cry. Not even serf women."
"Not even
foreign wenches?"
"So you are
foreign..." His voice hesitated. Marisha found herself rubbing
her back against that hand, and not just for the relaxation it
was providing her tight muscles. In fact, she was getting tenser
by the moment. The man sighed. "Especially not foreign wenches.
I had no idea of my hidden weakness for them."
His mouth
against hers should have been a surprise. Instead, Marisha found
herself moving into the kiss, pushing her tongue against the
lips that opened when she demanded it, touching her tongue to
his. She felt him shiver. He pulled his mouth from hers for a
half second.
"What are you
doing?" He sounded more stunned than disapproving. "Most women
are not so bold—"
"Am I most
women?" She eased back into their kiss, slipping her tongue
against his, and he stopped talking. He shivered again. His hand
slid up under her shift, and his thumb scraped against her taut
nipple. Marisha shivered then. She was naked under her shapeless
dress. Very, very naked. Achingly naked.
She stood on
tiptoe, reaching for what she craved. Damn, he was hard as steel
and she didn't mean his armor. But he was too tall. His cock was
jutting forward but hit her too high to let her rub against him
where she wanted to. Oh, she wanted to desperately.
She dug her
fingers into his shoulders this time and began to inch up his
legs, like someone might try to climb up a pole. She heard him
grunt, once, and then his hand reached under her rear and pushed
her up further. Her legs encircled his waist at last, his strong
hands steadying her exactly where she wanted.
Who said they
were from the Dark Ages? This guy was bright. Bright enough to
figure out exactly what she wanted and take care of things. She
was feeling something really hard. Marisha slid her hungry
clitoris against a thickening shaft. Thank God he wasn't wearing
mail. Yeah. Oh, yeah. That was just hard man. A great deal of
man.
DAWN OF THE
ALPHA

"What's her
name?"
He hadn't taken his gaze off the woman, but he'd directed the
question at Faye. The servant opened her mouth, looking like she
was about to answer, then slammed it closed, apparently having
reconsidered replying without having been directly addressed.
She narrowed her eyes at him, obviously displeased at being
talked about as though she wasn't in the room.
A pleasure servant with an insubordinate streak? This was
getting more interesting by the minute.
Faye chuckled. "Go ahead, sweetheart. Tell him."
The woman lifted her chin another fraction of an inch before
replying, unmistakable pride glistening in her depthless eyes. "Rhyanne."
"Rhyanne," Quinn repeated, taking a step forward. Might as well
get right to the point. Quinn had never been a man who hinted at
what he wanted. "Why do you keep looking at me as though you've
never seen a naked man before?"
She paled slightly, the rosy tint fading from her cheeks. To her
credit, she held his gaze.
"Let me assure you, I've seen many naked men." She straightened
her shoulders and placed both hands on her hips, the motion
making her teeter dangerously on her heels. "Some much better
endowed than you."
From her corner of the couch, Faye cackled, a sharp, stinging
sound that resonated through the room. For his part, Quinn could
only stare, mouth agape. What kind of pleasure servant was she?
Faye had regularly employed people with her unique skill set,
and he'd grown accustomed to their subservient, demure
attitudes.
Fire burned inside his cock. Instead of being turned off by her
straightforward quip, his body responded by heating up further.
If she was half as uninhibited while performing her duties as
she was outspoken, he was in for a hell of a ride.
He advanced on her ferociously, with no intention of slowing.
When he was almost upon her, she took a step backward, then
another, losing her balance at the last moment and slamming into
the wall.
Quinn placed both palms against the wall on either side of her
head, trapping her with his body. He pressed his erection into
her stomach, knowing she could feel how hot his dick pulsed for
her.
"Is that so?" he whispered in her ear. His teeth closed around
her earlobe and he sucked it into his mouth, drawing a groan
from her lips.
Quinn's hand skimmed over her arm and curved toward her breast.
He felt her sharp intake of breath as he reached for her nipple,
tweaking the hard bud between thumb and forefinger. Her groan
turned into a whimper.
He released her earlobe and drew back to look into her eyes.
"Then show me what you've been trained to do, little servant.
Suck my cock into that skilled mouth of yours."
Rhyanne glanced over his shoulder at Faye, who must have given
her assent, because a moment later she flattened her palms
against his chest. "As you wish," she whispered.
She bent her knees and began to lower her body to the ground,
but her teeth dug into her lower lip and it jutted out slightly,
much too tempting for Quinn to resist. In an instant, he'd
pulled her back up to him and slammed his mouth down on hers. A
soft sound escaped a throat that was too filled with breathy
wonder to be anything but genuine.
He barely had time to marvel at her reaction before savage
desire took over. He probed her soft, moist lips with his
tongue, urging her to open to him. She did, a little hesitantly
at first, but he gave her no time to reconsider. His tongue
found hers and scraped against it, seeking, tasting, exploring.
She clung to his shoulders as though she were drowning and he
was her only lifeline, her fingernails digging into his flesh.
And then she did something few pleasure servants did.
She kissed him back.
ELEMENTAL ELVES 1:
HORSE PLAY
By Mary Winter
Published by Changeling Press
Release Date 01/04/2007
Urban Fantasy (elf) Erotic Romance Novella
Copyright 2007. All rights reserved.
The pink fiberglass cast on Clarice’s arm
reminded Flynn of his folly. She slept in an oversized T-shirt
with a fat horse on it and little else. She lay on her side, her
broken arm flung out of the way, her other hand tucked beneath
her chin like a child. Next to her, a fat orange tabby cat with
a fluffy white belly slept, and on the floor between the bed and
the door lay a German Shepherd.
From outside her window, Flynn watched. In the
dark of the night he had two options -- stay in his stall or go
to Clarice. On this night his choice came as easily as it had
every night before. At least here, watching Clarice through the
window, he could keep an eye on her and protect her in a way he
couldn’t on that fateful afternoon three weeks ago when he’d
dashed her hopes.
She’d told him about it as she groomed his horse
form or petted his muzzle, telling him she didn’t blame him for
her accident. Of course he didn’t quite believe her. He’d have
blamed himself had their situations been reversed. After all,
his moment’s inattention and reveling in the joy of exuberant
expression had gotten her hurt. A broken arm, two cracked ribs,
a concussion, and no riding for at least six weeks. He knew the
diagnosis like an accusing litany.
In sleep her lips parted. Rosy red, full, lush,
perfect for wrapping around his cock and sucking him deep and
hard. She rolled to the side, flinging her other arm against the
edge of the bed. With her legs spread she looked like an
offering, ripe and ready to be devoured. The thin shirt pressed
against the rounded globes of her breasts, her nipples tight
against the fabric.
The sheets fell away, revealing her long, tanned
legs with their toned and muscled curves. It took all his
willpower not to try the front door and see if he could enter
her house, her body. He could, however, enter her dreams.
Flynn smiled. He hadn’t tried before. He really
hadn’t felt the need. However, no sooner had Clarice broken her
arm than she was back struggling to work twelve-hour days,
driving herself to exhaustion each night. Right now, he doubted
fun even entered into her vocabulary. And that, in his opinion,
was a crying shame.
Flynn sat beneath the window with his legs
crossed and his hands resting on his knees. He inhaled the lush,
damp smell of a humid Virginia night. Insects filled the air
with an undercurrent of noise. He focused on the woman lying
inside, on the steady rise and fall of her chest with each
breath, on the patterns of her mind. Even in sleep she didn’t
relax, her mind abuzz with subconscious thoughts. Reminders to
order feed, to reschedule her doctor’s appointment, to find
someone to help her with her riding therapy calls, her mental to
do list grew and grew.
On the bed, she shifted restlessly. Flynn. His
name was in her thoughts, though she saw him only in his equine
form. Her admiration for his form, his grace, his beauty filled
her mind. By falling off and breaking her arm, she thought she’d
failed him. She thought she needed his forgiveness, not
the other way around.
“Oh, Clarice,” he whispered, sliding easily into
her thoughts. Her need to apologize touched him. The Elven
Council cared nothing for thoughts and feelings, not when their
goals were on the line. Even his parents fit the aloof image the
Council projected. His father worked hard on the Council and
tried to mold his only son into the perfect image of Elven
obedience. His father saw only how Flynn’s reckless behavior
impeded his goals. He didn’t know what it would take to bring
his mother out of the dream-like world in which she lived. No,
no one had ever cared for his feelings before.
He appeared in her dream in his Elven form with
his hair bound in a leather thong, his pointed ears clearly
visible. He knew he looked like Legolas come to life with his
green cat-like eyes, his green vest and his tight leather pants.
Clarice raised her hand from his equine form’s
neck and stared at him. Her gaze lingered on his ears, then on
his trousers, and the hard bulge of his cock against the butter
soft leather. “Who are you?” In the dream realm her voice held a
mystical quality. Hearing her speak here, in the veiled place
between the worlds, he knew why he’d been sent.
Clarice held power. The power to change lives,
shaping them for the better. Her work with disabled children
molded their lives into something better, and those she brought
into her operation needed the same kind of healing touch the
children did. What she didn’t realize was that she too needed
healing, and that was why he was here. To help her heal, not
physically but emotionally, from the wounds that drove her day
after day.
Shock hit him like a two-by-four to the solar
plexus. Clarice possessed magic of the kind long thought to be
gone from the human realm.
“Think of me as your guardian angel.” He stifled
a chuckle at his foolishness. He’d known a few angels, and a
more arrogant, vain creature he had yet to find. Yet, Clarice
would understand his intentions if he called himself her
“guardian angel” and so long as he fulfilled his mission, what
harm could misnaming himself be.
“You look like an Elf.” Clarice grinned. “Like my
very own Legolas.” She licked her lips. “Is there a reason why
you’ve come into my dreams?” She patted the horse on the neck as
it, being part of him, stood completely still.
ESSENCE OF EMERALD
By Ruby Storm
Just Released at Ellora's Cave
Book Two in Ruby's PRECIOUS GEMS SERIES
BLURB:
Emerald
Tucci is engaged to one sexy man. Mark Vistar embodies every
woman’s dream. Tall, muscular, and handsome enough to send
shivers down any woman’s spine. But still, Emmi can’t confirm a
wedding date and the reason is Jay, Mark’s best friend. She
doesn’t love Jay, yet the man’s sensual magnetism has her
enduring sleepless nights and rampant sexual emotions…and
wondering what it would be like to have two men make love to her
at the same time.
To squash
her wandering thoughts of a fantasy come true, she speaks
honestly with Mark in hopes that by coming clean, her strange
desires will be put to rest. Emmi even admits that her candor
could possibly mean the end of her engagement.
She never
counted on Mark and his devotion to her, or the fact that he
loves her enough to make her fantasy come true.
EXCERPT:
Emmi wiggled
on her chair and struggled to appear relaxed and sated from her
meal, but she’d hardly touched it. Mark on the other hand had
eaten with gusto, laughing and joking throughout supper.
Jay wiped
his mouth with a napkin, sat back and darted his dark eyes from
one to the other. “Okay, I have to ask. What’s going on?”
“Are we that
transparent?” Mark asked.
Emmi could
have kicked him.
“Well, hell
yeah. You’ve talked so much tonight that I’m surprised you
managed to finish your meal.” His gaze turned to Emmi then. “In
contrast, Emmi, you’ve hardly said a word. You’re wiggling and
squirming like you’re in the hot seat or something. What’s up?
Things don’t seem quite what they should be. Can’t put my finger
on it, but you two definitely have me wondering.” Suddenly, he
sat forward. “Oh, wait one minute. Have you two finally set a
date for the wedding? Is that what this is about?”
Mark found
Emmi’s hand, surprised that it felt clammy to the touch. He gave
it a squeeze for encouragement, winked at her and turned to face
Jay. “Well, in a roundabout way. We were discussing it last
week, but something else came up. Something we both wanted to
speak to you about.”
Jay leaned
back and crossed his arms over his chest. “Now my interes | |
